Share the Care does not provide transportation, but many of our clients use the Access Lynx bus service.

I live outside Orange and Seminole Counties, can I still use your services?
Yes! Those who live outside of Orange and Seminole counties will not be eligible for subsidies but may use our services on a private-pay basis.
Will you send someone to my home to help cook, clean, provide personal care, or take my loved one around on errands?
Share the Care provides in home companion services based on eligible criteria. However, we do not provide homemaker services in the home (cooking, cleaning, providing personal care, or taking loved around on errands).
There are companies that provide these types of services. Take our caregiver self-assessment at www.caregivercentral.org to find resources in Orange and Seminole Counties.
Can I leave my loved one overnight at the Adult Day Care Centers?
The Adult Day Care Centers are only open from 7:30 am – 5:30 pm. However, we may be able to provide overnight respite if funding is available. Please contact our case management team for information at 407-423-5311.
My loved-one is bed-bound or otherwise physically unable to go to an Adult Day Care Center, what other services do you provide?

Is there a waiting list to begin service at a center?
No, enrollment at one of the centers can happen as soon as the application process is complete.
I am interested in enrolling my loved-one in an Adult Day Care Center, what do I do now?
First, tour one of our centers to see if it is a good fit for you and your loved one. You do not have to call to arrange a tour, but it is best not to arrive between 12:00 and 1:00 pm as staff are helping clients with their lunch. Next, complete the forms that the center staff give you and then call the center of your choice to get started. For additional assistance with enrollment call 407-423-5311.
What are the health qualifications for acceptance into one of the Adult Day Care Centers?
Eligibility to start services is no more than 2 person assist, no risk to self or others and 18+years of age. Medical form completed by physician also required.
Do you accept health or long term care insurance, Medicare, or Medicaid?
Medicaid- We accept the Statewide Medicaid Managed Care program. Current list of providers we accept: Humana (formerly American Eldercare), Aetna/Coventry, Sunshine, Community Care for the Elderly, Staywell, Simply Health Care.
Medicare- Adult Day Care is not covered by Medicare.
We do not bill private health or long term care insurance. However, services may be reimbursable under long term care insurance and we can provide a paid receipt for services rendered. Contact your long term care insurance provider to see if they will cover adult day care.
What services are included at the Adult Day Care Center?
Summary of Services: Person-Centered Adult Day Health, Hot Lunches and Snacks, Exercises, Music and Singing, Nutrition Education, Personal Care, Social Activities, Leisure Times and Rest Periods, Group and Independent Activities.
Services provided by Licensed Center Nursing Staff:
We provide Adult Day Health services. Nurses are on staff to provide health monitoring including high blood pressure and diabetes management, administer medications, and assist with meals. We also provide showers (additional cost).
